WebOct 1, 2013 · unfired round back down and the slide will re-chamber the round. I tried a number of times today at the range, unsucessfully. It seems that the only way to effectively clear the pistol is to fire it. I fear this could become a little unhandy around the house. What am I doing wrong? Then take a new primer and put it in an iron frying pan with a lid and heat it till it pops. Take the empty primer cup and press it into the case and load the bullet.
