Haringey parks and open spaces
WebHaringey has a long and successful history of strong community and partnership volunteering activity set withinthe borough's parks and open spaces. The borough has well over 30 individual Friends of Parks groups who doa huge amount within the parks and spend thousands of volunteer hours making them greener, safer and activespaces. The London Borough of Haringey maintains 240 hectares (590 acres) of parks and open spaces. By 2015, 20 of these were accredited with a Green Flag Award. Until their disbandment in April 2009, the parks were patrolled by the Haringey Parks Constabulary.
