Doe beards and buck beards don't look the same, and in my experience, wethers develop DOE beards and not the full faced buck beards. Maybe it's just my Toggs, but I think I've noticed it on other breeds as well.

Typically no longer then 6 inches long and no larger in area then say a silver dollar. Bucks start out the same but as they age and rut it grows up their cheeks all the way to under their eye balls.
